Syntax

FindFirstChild(instance, childName)

Parameters

  • <pointer> a pointer to the parent instance.

  • <string> a string value of the child name.

Returns

  • a pointer(number) to the instance.

FindFirstChildOfClass​

Syntax

FindFirstChildOfClass(instance, childName)

Parameters

  • <pointer> a pointer to the parent instance.

  • <string> a string value of the child name.

Returns

  • a pointer(number) to the instance.

FindFirstDescendant​

Syntax

FindFirstDescendant(instance, childName)

Parameters

  • <pointer> a pointer to the parent instance.

  • <string> a string value of the child name.

Returns

  • a pointer(number) to the first instance which contains the child instance you're looking for.
